Does anyone recall how AT&T cellular service is at Gulches? Fantasy football is a high priority in my life.  //;D//

Not sure about att, but with Verizon my service was spotty the further we went down the trail. I had 4 bars in the parking lot though.

To me: that's one of the advantages of wheeling, no outside distractions. The only thing my phone is good for is pictures.

you will have a blast, lots to do at Gulches for a rig like yours

Well, my daughters first soccer game got moved to Saturday morning a 9AM... not going to miss the first one, so I guess I'm out. I wouldn't make it to Gulches until around 1:30 PM. I was really looking forward to the first ride with you guys. Now both brother in laws bought TJs, so the three of us will catch you on the next open ride.

I would assume they are controlling the amount of water with what is called a dam.

The Saluda Dam or Saluda River Dam located approximately 10 miles (15 km) west of Columbia, South Carolina on the Saluda River. Construction on the dam began in 1927 and was completed in 1930. The purpose of the dam is flood control, hydroelectricity, recreation and water supply.

Here are a few examples.

Dams on the Saluda include:

- The uppermost dam on the Saluda River, on the border of Greenville and Pickens Counties, forming Saluda Lake
Lake
- Saluda Reservoir Dam near Berea.
- the old textile mill dam in Piedmont
- The textile mill dam at Pelzer
- The Pelzer Mills Dam, near Williamston
- The Lee Steam Plant Dam near Williamston
- The Holiday Dam near Belton
- a still-operating dam built to power the textile mill in Ware Shoals
- Greenwood dam, creating Lake Greenwood
- Dreher Shoals Dam creating Lake Murray
