I have ate deer meat all my life. I tried Ben's back strap recipe last year and my taste buds fell in love. I was never big on back strap before.

Better than a $50 6oz filet anyday of the week!

not fair

you are comparing a a great cut of deer to a crappy cut of steak.  Filet is the least flavorful steak you can get.

The last filet I had was amazing. What's the best cut of beef then for a steak in your opinion?
I've grown tired of this.

I really don't eat much beef at all if any other than a fast food burger from time to time. A lot of great recipes for venison. Roasts in the crockpot are also the shizzle.
I've grown tired of this.
