Blue Ridge Mountains
« on: September 28, 2017, 02:40:34 PM »
What's the weather like in the mountains around Thanksgiving time? I'm thinking about renting a cabin for a week.

It will be our 30th anniversary and I'm trying to get my kids all together that week for Thanksgiving.

There's not a lot of cabins availble for 8 people during that time frame so if anyone has any connections or leads I could use them!

Weather is perfect that time of year. Shorts and sweater weather.
I've grown tired of this.

um, not really. since i actually live here, i can tell ya it varies greatly, its 80s today and by the weekend its gonna only be low 70s and maybe even into the 40s at night. I have seen 20s for lows and 40s for highs in November. Its always different, for the most part yes its nice, but it can get cool and wet. avg is prob 50-low 60s daytime and 30-40 at night.

Last year was shorts and sweater ha ha. Same thing this year I bet. But I like the cold so my opinion is different than most.

There are a ton of Cabins up here. I will about getting you some rental cabin names. I live in Ellijay. Weather like Justin said can be all over the board and that time of the year it changes quick. I tell everybody that comes up to stay be prepared for all weather conditions.
