People listen to local radio and watch local news still? I feel like that’s for folks over 40 or can’t afford a car with Sirius?

This is just really an odd statement

But it's a true statement!!

I listen to WSB 95% of the time while I’m in the jeep. (2-5 hours a day)

Can't afford Sirius, you poor guy.

I listened to the free trial about once a week. I’ve had Spotify for a few years now, and it’s nice because I can download my own playlists to my phone and cut down on my data usage. Gotta pinch pennies where I can. Plus, if my daughters in the jeep we rock out to Disney anyway!!!! Nothing better than pulling up at a stoplight with the top down and the trolls soundtrack bumping. #DADLIFE

I got rid of my Sirius after 2 attempts of telling them to cancel. I went back to old school radio or CD's. Half the time I just enjoy the Silence, anyway. I have listened to a few pod casts here lately though.

Plenty of free apps for music. I have spotify and use it all day at work and in the cars. I have a digital antenna on the house and get all the local and more digital air channels. I don't think I will ever pay for cable again.  [oldskool] Now local radio is a joke. Stations all suck and on continuous music loops. I miss the early 90's stations around here. 96 rock, 99x, fox 97 played oldies... nothing worth tuning in for anymore.
I've grown tired of this.

^ this is how I'm starting to feel about Sirius radio. It came with the new Jeep but, I'm still hearing the same songs over and over going on 2 years now.

I have been thinking about installing spotify on my insane unit and see how that works out.

Local radio just drives me nuts. I hate talking, news and commercials. I just want to hear music!

Dumb question, but won't you hear the same songs there? In a similar rotation?

Spotify has full albums and a huge library to listen to so it is up to you to choose what you want to listen to. They have a sort of radio station category where you can listen to genres of music. It is the best internet based music app I have ever used. Very diverse.

Yes, but the key is to have it on demand. There are thousands of songs and playlists that you can choose from and switch whenever you want.

I was not happy with Sirius radio. Commercial free my ass.

We have a family Apple Music subscription and amazon music. I like Apple Music the best.
