Morris Mountain September 7th - 9th stories, pictures and Carnage
Blue J:
Didn't have any Staff members make this ride so I stepped in and officiated the drivers meeting and led the group to GBU. The left line of Good was actually more technical than Bad. Everybody walked right up Good and Bad. I saw Dave run Ugly we moved on from here to Gauntlet and had a good run until Jody got stuck up top. Shaun and I eventually winched him off his perch. He got it Stuck like Chuck. After Lunch at camp and Jody's Birthday party (we got him cupcakes and sung him Happy Birthday) we headed over to Los Primos and then ran out to the end and took the scenic route back to Los Primos. It was a really killer day. Thankful for no rain.
I just dumped a bunch of photos on The Facebook page. Carnage wise my rear locker engaged for about 5 minutes and then started doing the same thing it's done the last 2x. Ever since it was installed it has never worked for more than 5 minutes. I'm not sure what to do about it at this point.
Jody managed to mangle his stock rear drive shaft, tore the boot off, probably on Guantlet. Typical JK rear drive shaft failure, it still works but the plastic dustbboot is crap.
I saw Jeremy got into something on his new JL front passenger fender. Soon to be replaced with tube fenders.

Great day of wheelin on Friday. Traction for days. Played on GBU for a while. Ran the good, the bad, and the far left line. Kirk talked Marc into running destabilizer. Then went on to run the gauntlet. Was pretty impressed!!! Everyone ran Hornets nest. Pretty cool to see the first JL on the trails.
Hot doesn't even describe it. Ended up leaving Saturday morning. The wife wasn't feeling well. Think it might have had something to do with mellow mushroom. Pretty bummed not to get a second day of wheeling in.
