Well my Jeep almost burnt to the ground. Glad we caught it when we did. Overheated on the trail and it wouldn’t start back. Had it not been for that this would not have been caught.

Cut the side wall on two tires today. Got the front right, then cut the spare. Dave was helping me with the tire when his wife flopped his Jeep lol. Currently at Walmart.  They don’t have a big enough tire, and can’t put a smaller one on there because it’s against the regulations.  They are trying to doctor it up a little bit on top of my plugs so hopefully I can get home. ISO 4 or 5 used 37s!!!

That’s sucks bad on the tires.

I just got home.  When we left the park massive grid lock on 24 from a multiple car crash. That was brutal.

Had a good time.  It’s been way to long from my last wheeling trip. Met several of the new members. The park was still slick under the leaves.

Just got back to the house. Aside from some minor trail rash we didn’t tear anything up...that being said I haven’t look at the bottoms of the diffs or the skid plates yet lol. It was nice meeting everyone. Hopefully I’ll have my rig done by the next big ride so I can really thrash on something.

Finally got home. Got caught in the worst traffic jam I’ve seen in a while. Had an awesome day wheeling! My JK surprised me with what I was able to get it to do. I knew it was capable but I went up stuff I honestly didn’t think I could get up. Didn’t get a ton of photos but here is what i got.

Damn. That’s brutal. Hope you made it home safely.

What trail were you on when you cut the sidewalls?

Thanks to google map I was able to find a 9 mile detour around the I24 mess.  Got back to the interstate right at the point of the accidents, which looked like a multi-car pileup; at least 6 wrecks that I saw and probably others already taken away.  Then there was another in GA that needed a detour around several accidents on I75.

Short ride with Scott, Clark, and Wes.  We did one short trail that normally would have just cruised up but took an hour.  At the top Wes' steering pump gave up the ghost.  Cruised back down for lunch, and I decided to pack it up.

I wasn't sure i was going to head up Saturday between fighting off a cold and the recent rain but I'm happy that I did. It was nice to see some new people and always good to see others. Thanks Jason and Dave and others willing to lead and willing to help out with spotting and advise. It was a good day and great weather. once again I forgot to take pictures, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again.
