I hope it's the RCV since that's the cheap fix, but I don't see how you can bend the axle shaft without bending/breaking the hell out of something else (tube, housing, ball joints, knuckle, hub, etc).  Even if you messed up one of those other parts, I think the axle shaft joint would give a bunch.

Yep
I did something very similar on a night run at Harlan about 5 years ago.  Bent the short side of my 44.

Agreed. Does not sound like the RCV but rather the housing. Luckily d30 housings (and complete axles) are cheap, but also the right time to consider d44/60 or a built TJ lol

In step w/ wht you guys' are saying, note  RCV appears to spin w/out any warble or off-center rise/fall:

/>
It should be the housing( ...strange since , on gravel I see the shaft bind and that drag engages TorqLocker momentarily...it sure feels like bent axkeshaft but this video sure doesn't look like it ...)

(Go ahead get the crap about the unfinished stickwelds I did on the gussets out ; Travis has made sure I know I failed  [no2])

Isn't that Sam on the ledge in the first pic? I know mountain folk look alike (probably the inbreeding) but Justin has an LJ

Oh, Jeez.
I goofed.
You're totally correct; I was staring at the third image but talkin about Sam in first one. My bad.
this , the difference in my replies while working versus having time to get facts straight!
Srry, @Anvilsam

Justin's smile sorta says it all in that photo, don't it?
(edit: honestly, Sam's JKU is hard to take-in there is just so much awesomeness all over it)

@Michigunman how do you like your new jeep? The video made waterfall look too easy!
