What are the temps like during the day and at night? Anything you wished you had brought but didn’t? Anything that you brought and thought you would need but that you could have done without?

Still trying to find time to post the second part of our trip- wheeling Fordyce Creek Trail.

I did discover after our trip that we ran the same sequence as the UA2016, so this writeup is very accurate to what we experienced.

Temps can vary out there, but for us it was perfect. Highs in the mid 70s and lows in the 50s at night. 25% humidity! I didn’t sweat profusely like I do summer wheeling in the southeast.

As far as the items to take, there isn’t anything that came to mind that we didn’t have but needed. The biggest thing is you have to pack light bc you are wheeling the trail with all of your supplies and camping gear. The point A to B aspect of this trip adds an extra level of adventure. It forces you to be resourceful and know your rig.  No running back to the parking lot to get something off the trailer.

Sorry for the delay, here are the pics from Fordyce. This trail was awesome! The winch hills are fun and the scenery is incredible. Tons of granite with tons of traction. You need to plan your trip on the trail based on the water levels that PG&E controls from the dam. We hit the trail a day before the beginning of Sierra Trek so the water levels had been dropped very low for their ride groups.  The trail is something like 11 miles long and has several water crossings.
