Exactly, just going to get the experience as a driver and really take it in as an owner now.

the obstacle course looks like a blast, and the vendors are a must and I am hopeful for some late Sunday deep discounts  [hungry]

I will get out with you guys asap, and would love to be in a smaller group of people willing to teach me how to be better

Another great part of our club when we do
trail rides is, we have a drivers meeting about
9 am (always local time). We go over the days
plan and etc. There's never any pressure to do
trails your not comfortable doing. With that in
mind we always try to split into 3 groups.
1) easy
2) moderate
3) hard core

You also get some of the best spotters in the sport , many have had years of exp. and its really nice to see someone take care and concern of your rig like its theirs while spotting.

AND... I am going to ditto what kevin said.   no one will make u feel bad, slighted or less if you bypass a trail or obstacle .

Its about being safe, and only doing what you are comfortable with.   you also have a dam good team of mechanics in this group so pretty much nothing that can get broke will stay broke..   you know everyone will focus to get fixed, no one wants/likes to see a rig not on the trials .

i can tell you guys are salt of the earth kinds of people and i appreciate all of the support i have been shown so far.  I have a lot to learn and i know i will feel "naked" the first few times, since i wont really know what i should bring or have for such an event.  I will take it all in and learn quickly, and will learn how to spot so i feel like i am helping as much as being helped.  I want to give back to the group as much as i can.
So i am ready to get the learning started.
Feet wet this weekend, wallet gets a purge, and then meet up with you guys ASAP.
Have a great weekend

I did just get a set of deflators and set them to 27 psi last night using my spare tire to set them.  I am not sure how low i can or should go, so i figured 13-14 psi lower than everyday pressure would be a good start.  Defintely dont want to pop a bead, and be "that guy"

Maybe it should say, nobody will make you feel bad unless they know your rig is capable then everybody will make you feel bad. Don’t worry though bc that will come a lot later

I think i can sense the good natured ribbing you guys are giving.
Makes me realize you are a close group and enjoy each others company, sometimes ;)

Well, we do have some mean girls in the club. I personally know one that, if she is behind you and your plugging up the trail, she will be on the radio politely asking you to give it more gas.

But in all seriousness, we do have fun on the trails and most of us will go out of our way to make sure the "newbies" get the best experience they can when they come out with us.
