Thanks guys!
My biggest concern is getting under the jeep, or better yet getting it off the ground.  I dont have a floor jack, but i am working on borrowing one.  now i am wondering if i should do a set of control arms at the same time just to be safe.

I have read a lot in the last couple of days about people's opinions on that subject with a 2.5" lift.
Sounds to me like it would be best to do it at the same time as the left install since installing them will be about the same work as install on the lift.  No reason to do the same work twice.

Thanks again for all of the help.
Trying to get it ready for Alabama in a few weeks.

Torque on control arm bolts is important, and some of the numbers are high. Need a good long arm torque wrench.

Suspension Arm Lower Axle Bracket Nut 125 ft-lbs
Suspension Arm Lower Frame Bracket Nut 125 ft-lbs
Suspension Arm Upper Axle Bracket Nut/Bolt 75 ft-lbs
Suspension Arm Upper Frame Bracket Bolt 75 ft-lbs
Track Bar Frame Bracket Nut 125 ft-lbs
Track Bar Axle Bracket Bolt 125 ft-lbs

Down load the coupons.
On a Den Of Tools video he showed where the President of HF uses the same exact factory in China that makes the Snap On jack. The only difference is the paint.

Snap On $700 < HF $200

Nu2Jeeps, Where are you located.  Its not in your profile and people would likely be more willing to help if they knew what kind of drive they are in for.  Just a thought

Not just to go against Kevin, but an added benefit:  Pilot, I support what you stated;  If I have to do research to help you, then you probably aren't going to get my help.  Good item for 'best practices' of Wrench Day posts.

Maybe the OP intends it that way...who wants help from someone who won't do research for how to help them?

Regardless, Nu2Jeeps is allegedly located in Marietta, presumably Georgia, USA.

presumably is correct

i went to HF the other day and looked at the floor jacks, but wasnt sure how much travel I would need to get it off the floor, 18 or 24 inches of travel. So I left.

i will look out for a coupon, i would love to grab one at a lower price, and i am afraid if i get a good FJ i WILL be under it more than i think  ;)

Do not get under anything without the additional use of jackstands

@Nu2Jeeps saw your PM but can't reply because your mailbox is full. Which skidplate were you asking about?
