People will get you through, but I highly recommend you get a winch. 

A winch (and a way to safely mount/attach it) should be the first purchase after getting a vehicle intended for off-road use...period.

There are 2 or 3 hotels very close to the park.

The Holiday Inn Express is not the cheapest, but it is clean and comfortable.  They also give AOP discounts if you call in rather than book online.

There is also a Hampton Inn and a Super 8

I would love to camp but I don't have any equipment yet here in the US.
