Not much happened today. 16 hours or so and around 1000 miles and I'm in Omaha, Nebraska. Northwest MO has a lot of freaking corn

Mount Rushmore and then to Yellowstone tomorrow. I'm 8 hours from Rushmore.

There's a shorter hike to Delicate Arch that approaches from the other side and ends at a deep canyon.  So you don't get to the arch but it still makes for a great pic.

Went across South Dakota and into Wyoming where we are at greybull. Stopped at Mount Rushmore and Crazy horse. Saw a lot of toy haulers in SD, and mostly pulled by Ford Diesels which was interesting. Interstate is 80mph out here. Slightly tagged a deer. It was dark and in the middle of the road. I went left into the other lane hoping he would go right. Nope, went left so I went back right and slightly nicked the deer. Nothing broken or hurt.

Mount Rushmore is really cool to see and Cazy horse has a long way to go. We will be at Yellowstone tomorrow.

Sweet!

We're headed to Yellowstone in October.

Thanks for sharing the pics!
Glad the deer strike didn't hurt anything.

When my daughter and I visited Rushmore, we went to Crazy Horse on the day of the annual "volksmarch" in about 2006.  By donating cans of food for a food bank we could walk up to the sculpture and stand on what should become the arm.  In the time since it doesn't look like much progress has been made.

Lol, most of MO is corn, along with IL, IN and OH. It's very uneventful drive through those states.
