That's not the one you pulled off early Friday, is it?
Got the other one Saturday

Nothing tons and coilovers can't fix

Here is my flop damage report. Just some touch up with a paint brush and sewing up a tear in the canvas roof (aka painters drop cloth).

Whats funny is that I kept getting the same question. "your shock is held in with self tapping screws?" And that's not what failed. It was the factory bolt welded to the shock mount bracket that sheared off.  Those are the strongest 1/4" self tapping screws in the world to hold up to the obvious beating the shock took.
I have shocks and all the parts to fix in the garage, including new mounts for the uni-body side, but Im realy wondering if they will be as strong as my screws ;)

This is the damage that hurts though.
We ended up on some trails that had not been cleared in a while. So trees blocked us everywhere.
All I can say is don't follow Travis. I figured if his buggy could get through the trees, then the xj could.
Soon as he was clear a new tree popped out from under his rig and the path was blocked.

The xj would not go through what looked like his rig had just planted in front of me and I slid into a different tree. I definitely have to say thank you to tony for pulling cable and standing on the new tree so I could keep moving(also letting me use his tools to take my boomerang shock off)

I love how this club jumps in and helps. Im happy to stay up all night holding flashlights so that trick head light fuel pump mods can be made. Because even though this is my 3rd ride, I feel like anyone would do it for me.

Thank you all for letting a true novice tag along. It was great fun and I learned that my truck is a better off roader then I am right now. Also I am thankful that when I got in over my head y'all hopped in and helped me think through the situation and lend me the advice that comes through experience to set me straight. Looking forward to going back out on the trails in the future.

Other than that had a good time.

Nice to meet several of you for the first time. [slammin]
