I'm curious if the Cove is insured.

The cove is an unmaintained forest road, owned by the state. CC is private land where the owners are trying to hold races and stuff. Not quite the same

75 insured? People race there all the time….

I75? The highway? Good luck suing the state for crashing while racing and breaking the law. Now go to someone's backyard who is hosting a race, get injured, and then sue. You may have better luck

be careful. no insurance, and kinda shady imo.

What are you refering too?

Ive known the family that owns this property all my life, and the Father, Lewis Bailey, told me I needed to meet this guy that was doing some work on his property that had some Jeeps.

So I met Wally several years back and tried to actually help with this park and was told "i could come pay if i wanted to see the park"

So the next time to saw the son, Lew, who is my FFL dealer of choice locally, I was told Wally was basically squatting on the property and they were moving towards court actions to get them off the land.

Lond story short, the dad, Lewis, was is a state of losing his fn mind (and noone knew but the family, it was a shut in thing during COVID) and was abusing the mom and got arrested and charged back in 2021-22. SO, according to the son, in spite of the entire family he was going to let Wally stay on the property instead of his children getting it like it was in the will. The family is currently on hold awaiting court dates to remove CC and Wally.

Wally is telling everyone he owns the land, he does not. He doesnt pay taxes on income or the land, and to my knowledge has no insurance what soever. Every landowner around him is also dead set on removing him because there is no water management at all and it sits above Brasstown Creek which is a pretty major trout stream in Towns/Union County.

This is all directly from the family and children that got screwed out of their family land by a guy that basically is squatting, so take it with a grain of salt. If you dont believe it the tax records are public info and not only is the address for CC not on the county records, the 59 acres Wally "owns" is still in Lewis and his wifes names, because they havent been to court yet to determine how it gets separated.

@8lugLJ I was going to ask you what you thought of the place, it's relatively close to you, right?

Ya its only like 6 miles from the house, sucks because Itd be nice to have a decent close spot, and there is huge rock, steep stuff, etc.

All I hear around town is how nice the Wally guy that runs it is, Im just soured bc of my experiences with him and the other side which is the shitty way people are handling the property.
