Thoughts about the election
« on: November 05, 2008, 09:55:09 AM »
well lastnight turned out to be pretty interesting, listened to both speeches, john was a great sport and have a lot of admiration for him,  then there was obamas,  at first it was stiring then he said we need to work hard not just for ourselves  but for everyone else to do better, right there in that comment he lost me,  he is a socialist, if you dont believe me  look at his policies and his preposed changes  then go read carl marx's book  and you will see  things are going to be very interesting for te next 4 years.......    What are your guys thoughts??
you may go faster but i can go over

Like I told my kids. He HAS to do the job of president, Obama is going to learn things now that he didnt know during the campaign. I tried to tell them the story of the shipwrecked sailors adrift in the lifeboat. Captain is rationing out water and the sailors try to demand that he let them have all the water. So he holds them at pistols length to guard the water, finally exhaustion takes its toll and the captian calls to the next highest ranking man in the crowd, gives him the pistol and tells him to guard the water. The same man that was calling for the water before is still guarding the water when the captain wakes up. Point is being in command changes you.  Thats what I told my kids.

And right now I'm officially launching my campaign for president in 2016. I've got a lot of things to end or modify.
I hope I get to trail ride this year.

He has no idea what is instore for him. He will turn white like MJ after he gets into that office! Or will wind up being assasinated.
I've grown tired of this.

The only thing I thought about it all is whoever got ellected has a tough road ahead of them. Our economy is down the toilet, most of the world is too... Times are tough and folks want answers. Personally I would have run the other way!

I have to agree with BigJerm. I wouldn't want any part of getting stuck with the crap that's going on.

Like I said in another thread, the next 4 years will force the dems to be held accountable for their policies. They control everything now. Everything is on them. They can't blame it on Bush.
