My 04 Rubicon has 50235, but it has been towed 35,000. I don't tow it any more except on short trips.

The trailer keeps the parts from wearing out and then having to be replaced.

I towed the trailer 13,000 miles this summer to Alaska and back. After we left Moab, we went up to Alaska. That much towing will put some real wear on the Jeep.

i dont get it... if you towed you jeep how did it get miles on it??? full car trailer zero miles tires dont ever turn, dolly.. front tires never turn so again 0 miles since the odo is off the front axle.. so i am lost on how you were able to put 13k on your jeep towing it...

Wake up dude.

He has 50235 on the odometer plus 35000 miles that he flat towed.
When you flat tow the miles do not registar on the odo because
the transfer case is disengaged... Therefore the miles do not rack up but the parts do turn.. ???

ok got it... that makes since... before i was reading it like he had 50k plus miles but 30k of it was from being towed... guess i just read it all wrong..but he also said this...

see where i got lost.... first he says he trailered the jeep to keep from parts from wearing out... then he says towing it puts some real wear on it... i guess i am just lost cause that makes my head hurt...
