Glen, is their a website with more information on this mini triathlon? Not that I will be in any kind of shape to do something like this......but, maybe down the road.....

I'm getting ready to cheat on my weight loss - I don't want to blab out the details just yet, but I will be on a very restricted diet for about months (800 - 1200 calories per day) - I'm not doing this on my own, it will be monitored by a Dr. and a nutritionist.

stepson might be going in the Navy. He is going to use this for prep work for BUD/S possibly. I swam with him and coached him on stuff he needs to improve on. I guess I just want to complete this event. 400yd swim in a pool, bike and 5Krun. The hardest transition is coming off the bike and into the run.

Well today I was over at the folks house and found out my brother left his weight bench there so now i have a new weight bench. Standard bench, incline, leg ext, leg curl and a preacher curl pad as well. Had all the plates except 45's.

I start my weird diet today - get to have an 8 ounce protein drink for breakfast with 2 scoops of coconut oil.

Wow how I have missed free weights! I started on bench and quickly realized while I could DO the weight, I didn't have the stabilizers and I was all over the place. Just goes to show no matter how much you can lift with a machine, free weights are always harder. For now I am doing the 5x5 set on bench, might change it up to my normal 3x10 sets once I get back into it.
