sorry if it seems like i hijacked any threads out there.. this is my first breakage that may cause big time $$$$ if the dealership doesnt back the warranty...

I havent really seen the details of what all you broke but if it's just the front ring gear you could have easily drove it home. What all was broken?

oh about 4 teeth on the big gear that you see when you take the diff cover off

The cover didnt come off till most people were leaving.

I think we decided that due to the dealers already crappy warranty coverage that if he drove it home and did more damage they could attempt to say damage was caused by him driving home or something else stupid. That and no spare parts for the JK around...

That is true, it is under warranty and that is a totally different situation

He could have gotten back here and not told them he drove it though  ;D

Man I am surprised they are covering it anyways! On the JK forum websites people get turned down all day on warranties due to lifts, tires, being OFF ROAD (yes a jeep gets turned down for being off road....)

Had a good time too.  Glad i stayed later.  Got a lead on a new truck.  Too bad nobody stayed until Sunday.  We had a lot of fun shooting skeet and a bunch of other stuff.  Randy got out the Barrett 50 cal and exploded a bowling ball.  I'll post the video once it's uploaded.  One of his friends brought a slow motion camera.
