^ That combo kit I posted is about $50 cheaper than everything seperately. What gears do you have now? 3.73s?

Mike, here is where I got my gears. http://www.completeoffroad.com/ front and rear ring gears, master rebuild kits all under $400. Yukon and Timken stuff. Best deal around. But for real, throw an aussie in while it is apart!
I've grown tired of this.

That jeep dealership has a website www.jeepcheap.com in Thomson

Hey man if I was there you would have drove it home ;) pull the shafts and either take the ring gear off of the carrier or take the stubs off of the inners and put the stubs back in the unit bearing and the inners in the back floorboard of your jeep. the end of the axle tube would be open, just shove a rag up there (if it was mine I would just leave it open and if water got in it I would clean it out when I get home)

just throwing it out there but I also have a pair of 2wd unit bearings that you can run/borrow if something happens and the warranty doesnt cover. you could drive it in 2wd until it's fixed

Steven, his bolt pattern is different on the JK, so the 2wd unit bearings won't work. We talked about pulling the ring gear or the inner shafts.

yea i guess it would have done more damage if i would have drove home on it... taking out the axle shafts isnt that the only thing holding the tires on?

You have to take out the inner shaft and leave the outer shaft and unit bearing in to drive.

Just so I'll be educated on it, what bolt pattern is different, is the wheel bolt pattern different or the unit bearing mounting pattern? or both

the 2wd slugs may work in his unit bearing possibly? I know he doesnt need it but I'm wondering "just in case"

Brought it to the proper thread  ;D

That is true, it is under warranty and that is a totally different situation

He could have gotten back here and not told them he drove it though  ;D

Man I am surprised they are covering it anyways! On the JK forum websites people get turned down all day on warranties due to lifts, tires, being OFF ROAD (yes a jeep gets turned down for being off road....)

Is Ryan a member on the JK forums? He goes by the name o2dac2000 and has a black rubicon unlimited. His jeep took a big hop backwards off of a ledge at least 4' up and landed directly on the rear tires with the front wheels still in the air and it bent both of his rear axle shafts. Warranty did not cover it.. but that may be considered abuse by a lot of people anyways
