Well, I hope the guy doesn't give up on a great hobby. Have him come ride with us and we'll try to keep him out of the mud.  {toast}

X2!  Get him on the forum here!  (Don't let him near Will!   ::))

We'll show him how to wheel and stay clean.  That's an awesome Jeep!

Ok Fellas,

Here is an update on the jeep.

Replaced the fan motor
Replaced the Radiator
Replaced the AC compressor
Replace belt and a few pulleys
Changed all fluids (The diffs were actually full of water)

Hopefully, that will be all he finds broken.

Well that sucks. Did warranty cover any of it?

I bet not. I remember hearing about a guy who had similar issues and they found mud and such while changing parts so they voided it. I guess they don't cover "stupid" accidents. BS! If you make a Jeep you should stand behind it!
I've grown tired of this.

Well, yes and no. Warranties don't cover sinking a Jeep. I agree that too much stuff gets denied, but I wouldn't warranty it if I was the service manager, unless I just wanted to gain a long term customer. I've seen dealers cover worse things, but I've also seen them deny things that should be covered. I guess it's hit or miss. I think sinking a Jeep falls more in the insurance claim category.

I've been lucky. My Jeep has only been to the dealer once for a brake flash recall. At 45,00 miles, I'm past the Jeep warranty and now into the 100,000 mile extended warranty that I bought with the Jeep. I wonder how that warranty will hold up if I need to use it.

I know my Ford warranty is up, but I also bought an extended warranty from Toyota Mall of Georgia.  I was in the market for a Tacoma, but Matt and I worked them down pretty ok for the Ranger.  I wonder if my warranty would even be any good anymore.  They'd probably feed me a line of bull about how this and that voided my warranty...

ahh the warranty debate... It does seem hit or miss with the Jeeps. I mean the dealer warrantied MikeD front axle while he had 35" tires mounted... some forums online say the dealers wont warranty axle breaks if you are running larger than the factory 32" rubicon tires.

My best dealing was with my Tiburon. Took it in for something electrical in the cabin... wanna say the AC controls. When I picked it up there was a note from the service manager that said, "Nice car, but your warranty is pretty much voided except stuff inside the cabin on the car." I guess a supercharger with the supporting mods, clutch, and limited slip will do that to you  {toast}

Nope.. No warrenty..  My buddy paid for everything to be fixed so that he did not have his lifetime bumper to bumper warranty voided by the dealer.

Hey Larry,
Nice job on Rev limiter.  That rock was much steeper than the videos made it look.
