Glad I was wearing mine when we hit that little ditch unexpectedly.

Well, I finally got some damage pics...

Who needs a wheelbase stretch, I got a wheelbase shift.

And culprit of the shift.

So what are you going to do to fix that?  Replace the whole axel?  or weld on a new bracket?  Looking at the picture and remembering seeing the damage in person makes me wonder if it did any damage to the control arm and the bracket at the other end of it.

The brackets on the unibody side look fine, but I buckled the left front upper control arm and I bent my passenger side shock on the way down the mountain.

Right now I'm weighing all my options on what to do, but I know that the XJ will be down for a few months, because I don't have the time to fix it all before I leave for school again.

Sadly it wasn't even a hit, the damage happened when I was winching out of the hole, to change my tire...  Dumb luck and poor planning on my part.

BTW, here is a link to the pics my girlfriend took

The body lift took much longer then expected, ran into several problems along the way, one of the biggest being the forward most body side mounts, on each side. The BL would not fit int he hole, lots of filing, using a small mill file, on both the mount and the frame opening, and a BFH finally got the mount in place.
