I'm planning on going at this point, but it looks like there's about a 40% chance of rain next Friday. Hopefully it clears up between now and then or the trail may be shut down for that weekend.

Looks like we may have a 23rd rig from JF.

Do we have a back up place if it does rain?

If it rains, I'm definitely sittin' it out, whether Beasley is closed or not.

this one might be big enough to take some group photos

Where?  The pay/parking lot area...  that's the biggest, most open spot I know of.

Further up 76, where you can get to the other parking lot via FS 93, has an area that is more open and we could get a nice group shot. We can  ride and make our way towards there. Or we could change where we are going to start. Just a thought.

Is there an 'official' place for everyone to meet up?  Reading the thread it appears that some will meet at Waffle House and others at various parking lots.  Would a rookie just pick one of the places and just have his CB on?

There is always a lot of discussion, and guys meeting different places, but you always refer to the original post for the best meeting spot to find the group.  Here's the info from the ride post.  See ya there.

Where: Beasley Knob, Blairsville, GA
When: August 15
Fees: $5 Per Vehicle Per Day
Meeting Spot: Waffle House in Blairsville, GA @ 9:00am  (I hope there is only 1  :o )
EDIT Googled it and only found 1 - 10 Highway 515, Blairsville, GA 30512

You must meet the following requirements in order to ride with GATR.  No exceptions.
1. Functional Parking brake or Line Lock
2. Tow strap
3. Jack
4. Fire extinguisher (must be secured and easily accessible)
5. Seat belts/restraints for all passengers
6. CB with clear reception
7. Recovery hooks or D-rings front & rear
8. Battery hold-down

Please check in the "Check In" thread.

I am thinking about going.  Does anyone plan on running 93B.  that is the only trail up there that I have never ran.  would like to give it a shot if one group plans on hitting it. I have never been up it, so if it is not possible on 33s let me know and I want even try it.

Welp, I'm out for this ride... Aetna claimed the jeep. Don't know if I can get it road worthy in a week.
