« on: July 25, 2009, 09:51:16 AM »
Just in case somebody up there is looking I thought I wold post this! I'm debating on these!

due to salary cutbacks at work, i am forced to sell everything.....

'87YJ Frame (sandblasted and painted) $500
'87YJ tub, very little rust near passenger side. $500
Fenders, $50 each
Front Grill $75

Ford D60HP front 4.88 w/ triple shock set and GM 14bolt rear 4.88 w/triple shock setup and ladder bars. w/ roll arounds, complete. $1200 FIRM dont want to split..

93 4.0 HO I6 Fuel Injected. 79K miles on it... $500
NP231 transfercase ... $150

Dual Axle Trailer 14ft??? I have to double check. no ramps. bumper pool. Complete Wood Deck. $400

this is it, this is me leaving the offroading world for a while until things get better in the economy. I wont be looking for a rig or anything like that. So please dont offer any.

I think I'm going to get these, I just wanted to make sure the $$ sounded reasonable.

Ball joint 60 right?  Good price

You'll need to also go lift and big tires to clear those huge chunks over the rocks. 38's + to be like 33's on a 30/35/44 setup.

Still a daily driver?

Hey Richard,

I'm missing something.  How can you tell it's a king pin?  They made a lot of ball joint ford 60's in the 80's and 90's, and I don't see what year the axle is from.

If it IS a King Pin, don't go buy it.

Are there any markings on the axle to determine what year it is?

There is a bill of material number (BOM) stamped on the axle tube:

You can use that number to find out what its from here:

It is a 85-91.5.  They are worth that much but it is going to be hard to fit coils in it.  The Diff on that axle is shifted 3 inches over on drives side for those years so to make it work in your jeep with coils, you are going to need to shorten the pass side.  There isn't much room less than three inches between the diff and the knuckle.  IF you don't shorten it, you are going to have alot more axle hanging out of the pass side.  Or you could just run coilovers haha
