Looking for Macon area machine shop
« on: September 10, 2009, 07:46:40 PM »
I'm looking for a good machine shop to prep my SBC 400.  I need one with a good reputation and good tooling. It's a virgin block that may be able to go .030 but probably will end up .040.  That being the case I need it sonic tested before I pour a bunch of cash into it.  Any recommendations?

I've used dixieperformance in McDonough (70 or so miles north of you) for a SBC I rebuilt before. I also know several other people that have used them and have heard no complaints.

Thank for the tip. I'll check them out if I don't hear of any closer. I'm about 30 miles south of Macon.
