Fun times at Atlanta Motor Speedway Fall 2010

The weather could not have been more perfect for a weekend at the track with friends. Will was able to come and experience the fun. He was a race virgin before this weekend. The group I camp with always puts on a great spread and this year was no different.

Saturday night was the Nationwide race and the meat went on the smoker at 12:00. We ate after the race about 10PM. Can't imagine food being any better. Beer was good too.

Will did 40 push-ups at the National Guard tent for a free t-shirt. I would have shown him how it's done, but they said I was too old. Pshh.

Just another good time.

My friend's had an extra pit pass, but Will didn't have any long pants. That's OK. Marsha loaned him her pajama pants. Doesn't he look cute?

I wish I'd know ya'll were here. We've got an office on the back side of the track-and I was up here on and off all weekend. We too had some fun... Dad even got to have a lil meeting with head of security at the track  {hihi}

You're right about the weather, it was perfect all weekend.  The cooler weather is so welcome after the heat we've had.  I hope we have some more of that for the Fest.

It was a great weekend for outdoor cooking and eating.  Over the 4 day weekend (always at the lake) we had Butt's, Brunswick Stew, Filet Minion, Wings w/ Jack Daniels Sauce, Gumbo, Low Country Boil, and Spaghetti and Meatballs.

Wished I could have made the long 7 mile trek to hang, but just to much stuff going on this whole dang weekend. Looks like yall had fun, Will came by Monday to say hey to Donna and I and when he got a Coke out of the Beer Fridge he saw the Yeungling's and said he didn't want to see another one of those for a while! {toast} I give ya a call later this week Mike.

I knew I shoulda stopped by. Will tried to call you when I was dumping the camper. There was no answer so I used that for an excuse to get on home and unwind.

Should have sent them to the track with me. I sold my extra tickets. I didn't get face value but at least I got some of my money back. Might could have sold yours too.
