That trip to rubicon and Moab looks strangely familiar... Bet there is a thread on here with lots of info and talk  ;D

I still plan to do it but it will be probably 2012 for me before I got the funds and jeep capable of doing it. Not sure a tow rig is in my future so for now I got to build for trail and long distance DD.

Before doing all that driving in the Jeep, I would consider shipping it (almost same as fuel costs) to Denver, fly in, do Moab and then drive to the Rubicon, and then ship it back from Lake Tahoe, and fly home.

By the way, our roads in GA are AWESOME.  Some of the roads on the North and South routes SUCK.

Yea... that was something that Aaron and I kept mentioning on the way out/back. You really start to appreciate GA roads about the time you get west of Memphis.

Although the Rubicon is awesome, I would suggest Sierra Trek.  The Rubicon does have some challenging sections, but most of it is very tame.  Beautiful scenery though!!  If you want something a little more challenging, Sierra Trek is where it's at.

It is cool to say "I've run the Rubicon" though!!

For those who don't know of Sierra Trek:

The wife (Charlene) is thinking real hard about taking this trip. She has gotten different rock rails, 36" IROC's, and 6 inch lift since the trip to River Rock.

Sounds like she's ready!

I'm stoked for Moab. I'll be pulling my trailer/TJ with my Sierra. Do you want to go to EJS, or Memorial Day week? Who's in? Larry? Mark? Calvin? Billy? Mike L? Adam? Matt? Others?? I can't remember who all went last year. Which trail party is better for you?? Everyone should definitely get to Moab at least once in their life. Gotta be on your bucket list. {letseat} {letseat} {letseat}
