What joints did you get? I did a lot of reading and decided to go with heim's. Let me know when the fab day is.

ended up getting currie johny joints, and some rubber type to isolate viberations, thought about going full bore and putting joints at all attachment points, but i would like to get this thing back to driving back and forth to work every once in a while.

Those pics make me want a onboard welder... Well, I guess I should concentrate on getting the front axle in mine first.

i'm not sure an on-board welder would have helped that evening, plus those were the thin stock control arms that snapped.  before i went out i pretty much knew they were going to fail, they already were pretty mangled up.  will be taking care of that though just ordered up some steel, should be picking it up tomorrow, 4x8 1/4" sheet, and some 2x2 1/4" square tubing.

65.00 for a 20' stick is what i was quoted this morning, all they had in stock was one stick, and no that wasn't a military discount.

195.00 for a 4x8 sheet of hot rolled 1/4", i asked for a cold rolled quote but the guy never got back to me.

this was at jones welding off houston lake, close to watson blvd

did you order the tube adapters from clayton?  that's where i got mine from, wish we knew someone with a lath, looks to simple to make if we had the tools.
