I have the original moto droid and still love it.  I am holding off on upgrading until the first LTE Droid comes out on Verizon.  4G Droid!!  {letseat} {letseat} {letseat}

but how is the battery life?

Not great, but I use the bejeezz out of this phone, day and night.  24 hours and needs a charge.  I need to turn the screen down, and find if there are any other power saving tricks.

Wait are you saying after a day of use you need a charge? If I use the iphone for 6-8 hours it needs a charge. I have to carry a back-up battery charger just in case I am assigned somewhere that I might use my phone.

Yes, I use it all day, and evening, and put on the nightstand on silent, and it wakes me up, and is almost dead.  I charge it in the car on the way in, about 20 mins, that can be a hour >:( and it's good again.

not to hijack, but in the summer, the iPhone 5 will be out. I need the overseas capability. Might be Blackberry for a little longer... :-\

You may know, but this Droid is a world phone, and has the keypad without a flip.  Working great for me having used the BB for 6 years, but I continue learning new capabilities this thing has.

Iphone folks luv their phones.

I was wondering that about the Droid. Have you tried it outside the US? My BB is the older model. It just started to work this time here where I am in the North; worked well in central Bdad and didn't work in the southern area. Now, it is outrageous, somewhere between 2.00$ a minute, but for emergencies I guess its ok.

This is the newest Droid, well it was a few weeks ago, and the one I waited on because of international travel.

Yes, I've been in the U.K., Germany, Netherlands, Mexico, and Canada with it.

Ive heard nothing but good things about all the droids. I had a att employee tell me that all the droids blow the iphone out of the water. Noboby but people that own iphone's say any differently. The video capabilities on these things are ridiculous. 720p hd
