4in straight pipe is to small ,5in straight to a 8in tip. Oh you also gonna need some more air coming in. Any CAI will do. The 6.7 is a beast but the government has it on a leash in stock form, you gotta unleash it to see the real potential.

Yea, I need to figure out how to take the leash off. I've been on the Cummins forums trying to find out what I need to do.

I know plenty of people making 400+rwhp out of a cummins with a 4" exhaust...5" is over kill, won't comment on the 8" tip.  ;D

Brian, look into a subscription to www.turbodieselregister.com I found some very useful info on there when I bought my 12v CTD. plus, you get a quarterly magazine that makes great bathroom reading. haha.

You bought my dream truck Brian. Looks bad ass. Congrats.

I know there are some deletes that you will want to do first, but I hear good things about the 6.7 after those are done.

Don't do to much or you will have to have clutch very fast. My cousin has one stright
pipe CAI an MP8 slipped the clutch bad with just the truck in 3rd gear. Southbend clutch put in at 15,000 miles :o no slipping now but was around $1,500.

Well if it was my truck first thing i would do is get rid of that DPF. They make dpf delete kits. The dpf traps all the soot that gets emitted from the motor and once it gets clogged its expensive to get cleaned out. The more air coming in and the more air exiting out makes a happy diesel. In my previous truck (06 3500 5.9) I ran a 5in farm boys diesel straight exhaust with a 7in tip, Fass 2.0 fuel system, 6in CAI (homebuilt with, amsoil cone) and i used the smarty for engine managment. Oh make sure you get guages if you plan on modding the engine i cant stress this enough. I ran 37-13.5x17 on my dually and estimated 460 RWHP. Just like jeeps diesels are a money pit and the power can become addicting.(edit: if you follow my mod list beware my transmission went by-by in less than 5 months, it was a auto)

You can get a H&S programer to do the DPF delete. That way you can do any kind of exhaust you want no need for the high dollar exhaust delete kits.

Over the weekend I had Flo Pro's 5 inch exhaust and the Mini Maxx installed. Deleted the dpf and the egr. The exhaust is straight thru. Big difference in the truck. On any other setting than stock the clutch starts slipping immediately.
