WTB: Dana 44 Kuncles, tires, tubing...
« on: March 16, 2011, 06:21:53 PM »
Whats up guys, Ill be home in a couple weeks so I'm starting to look for/order parts so I can get this Jeep going asap. What Im looking for:

1) Chevy Dana 44 Right Hand Flat top knuckle and high steer arm
2) A set of 35-36" tires for a 17" wheel. Something in the ballpark of KM2's, Iroks, etc.
3) Enough 1.25" ID tubing to make a draglink and track bar for a TJ

Thats all for now, Im about to start ordering the rest of the stuff I need and wanted to see if I can find these things used before I drop the money on new!  {toast}

Well, this is what I ordered...http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=464&osCsid=f8f192e82feb557d675187caebb54f39

It was either 1.25 or 1.5". After the fiasco I had trying to find DOM tubing for steering when I built my CJ while I was in Alaska just figured that would be easier to find  :-\. I had to have my dad order it through a steel place near him in Colorado, then he had to mail it to me. Ended up paying like $40 in shipping alone for 3 ft of tubing!  :bs) Think its overkill by far?

Ill look into it more, when I talked to them this is the direction I was pointed...I called back and had it changed to 1.25" ID.
