Why is it you can cross thread a nut with no effort but can't put a nut on a cross threaded bolt?

You can't do a small upgrade...........Like better hubs, you might as well go to 35 spline but then you need new outers. You do that, might as well do inners, oh yeah need better joints. Just goes on and on.........

It happened to me. It's a snowball effect I guess... That's why my XJ has been camping out in my shop for a long time now. Every once in a while I sit in it and make "vroom vroom" noises. Then I think about selling a kidney or something to get it finished.
