Commercial/Industrial Powdercoater on the south side?
« on: August 03, 2011, 09:02:10 AM »
I'm starting to get desperate, any of you guys know of a good powdercoater south of Atlanta that can do fairly large stuff? There is a small shop in Macon, but he is a mostly automotive/atv guy and his oven is only 4x4x8. The big place in Byron does nice work, but they really only care about shooting stuff that they fabricate and act like they don't want my business, so I'd like to take it elsewhere :bs)

There are several up here. I actually got a quote a year or three ago about doing a frame on a 1964 Cadillac. You can imagine the size of that thing too. To completely sandblast it and powdercoat it would have been $600. That lets you know they have a monster oven if they can fit that frame in it. Ill see if I can find out the name of the company.

Thanks! I'll give the place in Jonesboro a call since they are the closest. Their ovens seem plenty big.

If you need something done this week Jimmy bring it up, we will run over and pick the stuff up at Summit, shoot it, and set it in my shop for a day.  ;D

naw sure dont... i went to the front desk the first time i went and they sent me to Ian in a building kinda to the right and back... since then i just go to him... i didnt know he was working there when i first went... im sure there number is on google just not sure what it is directly to his part of the shop... i need to get that actually... straight to him... they also USED TO anyway do LineX... but last i talked to them they were getting rid of it because the machine kept breaking and it cost to much to fix... they got a gov vehicle contract so thats why they bought and did it... that contracts done now so they dont use it nearly as much... they will only do big items with it also... but like i said they were talking about getting rid of it last i was up there... if they advertised they did and have it im sure they would stay more busy with it... but they have there foot in the door with so much im sure it was never a money maker... lol
