Bad part is, I think alot of businesses are moving away from accepting cash. I had a place tell me they did not accept cash the other day while trying to pay a bill WTF.
I always thought it was illegal for a company in the US to refuse US minted money? Thats why some people pay fines with pennies becasue they can't refuse the payment.

Oh and my CBC bank charges for using my debit card as a debit card but nothing to use it as a credit card. I always use my card as credit.

Countrywide sold my home mortgage to Bank of America, should I be worried? It is a fixed rate and supposed to not ever change or at least thats the way it was when Countrywide had it. One day out of the blue i got a letter from Bank of America saying that they had my home loan now, no warning and wasn't by choice.

you will be fine Andy. The loan is what it is no matter which institution owns/buys it. It maybe sold again in the future.

Marks right, you'll be fine and if you start bankin with them you may noy pay any fees, I have a credit accound, 2 checking accounts, a money market growth account, savings, and a mortgage all with BOA and I have no fees and even get free checks and wire tractions, I don't use checks but it still good to have when Tags are due,

I may be the exception, but I'm happy with WF (I was a Wachovia customer, and First Union before that).  Its mostly likely because we had a special account at FU that got moved to Wachovia (friend used to be a loan mgr), and we keep a lot of money at WF so they treat us pretty well (no fees for pretty much anything).

That being said, at the first sign of them screwing with us, I'm going CU and we've got a ton of great choices: IBM SECU, Pentagon Federal, and Navy Federal.
