The old girl has new shoes...
Now I have a n00b question about beadlocks....
This is how I installed them:
1. Center tire on wheel
2. Put on outer ring
3. Start bolts at each 90 degree quadrant
4. Torque down using air ratchet until resistance felt
5. Using criss-cross method, but in rest of bolts.
6. Using torque wrench, went around and around (8x) torquing down to 20ft lbs
7. Check for leaks
8. Take Lortab due to my aching back and swearing next time just pay Allsouth to do it all....hahaha
My questions are:
1. I can still keep going, do I keep torquing until each and every bolt is at 20lbs? Seems I keep going around and around with no end in site. I'm guessing the answer is yes, that I keep going until each bolt is right at 20lbs and cannot be tightened anymore. Just seems as I keep torquing down, others get loose, and like I said, I've already gone 8x around.
2. Outer ring seems to be "coned" a little (with the center coned towards wheel. Is this ok? I see different threads on it.
Many many many thanks to Allsouth for great deal on tires and wheels, and for Daniel for welding my beadlocks on!
