I'm not a revolver fan though. It's not easy to conceal unless they have a huge purse. Then again we are referring to females so thats not an issue. The other thing would be in the event they need to reload, it's not as easy either. plus any revoler does not have a safety. hamerless or not, if they somehow jam the trigger hard enough it WILL fire.

Also, the laser on a bodygaurd is a button style you have to turn on. in an emergency situation, the last thing i'm gonna do is look for the little laser button. I feel your better off with a standard firearm and using something along the lines of an iron sight. ie: truglo or night sight that glows in the dark.

here's a pic of the sig. It looks just like a 1911, only the size of a small keltec. it's on the heavy side too so it's relatively nice to shoot.

It's a Sig Sauer P238. It's a heavy little .380 and it shoots like a full-size. Your gonna pay some money for one but they're great shooting pistols.

If your looking for a no frills small compact gun that you can put in your pocket and almost forget it's there I say go with the Ruger LCP 380. Its relatively cheap and I havent had a single problem with mine (Almost 2 years Now). I carry mine in a Desantis Pocket Holster and no one is the wiser. The only problem is the LCP still leaves me feeling a little underpowered if the need was to arise where I would actually need it. The gun basically has minimal sights.

While this is definitely a personal preference and everyone has a different opinion I would suggest picking up the G26 or G27 and a good holster. 10 Rounds of .40cal in a pretty small package with decent sights is pretty hard to beat.

As a disclaimer I know nothing about revolvers and therefore chose not to comment but I will say that I have been eyeballing a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard for a while now.

Can I also say how stupid easy it was for me to buy two hand guns. Took me 10min tops for the paper work and background check. These were my first guns I bought myself and I figured it would be way more of a lengthier process.

Like I said...the sig is pricey. But the ruger is a nice gun. Its basically a double action pistol though. The hammer is just covered. The s&w sigma is an entry level pistol. Its affordable and will fire but it is not a target pistol. Its not as bad as a high point, but its nothing like the glock they copied and were sued over. The sigma is a full size though.

Check out the Rock Island compact. 3.5 in bbl. You can get em in .45 or 9mm. Usually around 350 to 400. 1911 style.

Is the Body Guard more of a woman's gun? I sold my AK47 last night, so I am in the market again!!

Here is a link to upcoming gun shows: http://www.gunshows-usa.com/georgia_gun_shows.htm

I might try and make it to the Gwinnett County Fair grounds tomorrow!!
