My 20' GN is 2900 pounds empty. So that 15,000 number is likely pretty close.

I looked at the diesel + big @ss trailer combo for months.  Really wanted to do it.  Just couldn't justify (or swing) the additional cost since I wanted a new truck... But it would make the Moab trip a breeze.
