It took 36 years since I first moved back to GA for me to be called for jury duty.    At least now that I'm retired so it's not as much an inconvenience.

its really odd how the jury letters go out.  I lived in Cobb County for over 20 years, at the same address for 16 years.  Never once received a jury summons.

I was confident that when I moved to Cherokee County that I would immediately get a jury summons.  3 years, not yet.

Lived at same address now for 32 years
and been called about 6 times...finally
the last time (back in Nov) broke my
spell of getting picked to set on a jury

As Doug has put, here comes the storms.   at home today, suppose to head to @Allsouth Autosports  to have an inch or so added to my front bumpstop, having the new stove top for our kitchen remodle coming today.  excited to finally have a kitchen upgrade , nxt is the master bathroom.  then.  sell the house..

We are replacing our 23 y/o countertops this month.  Not a cheap upgrade.

Many years ago my office was in the courthouse in Miami, and at lunchtime we'd sometimes sit in at the "day court" where the previous day's collection of miscreants passed before the judge.  Some of the cases were hilarious.  My favorite was the fat teenager caught shoplifting 'hot pants'.
