Jk Recall
« on: September 13, 2012, 07:29:56 PM »
There is a recall on the JK's for transmission skid. I did alittle research before my Jeep went in and I didn't like the piece of Junk they were going to replace it with.  So I took the factory one off and left it at home. Picture below wimpy recall on left which leaves trans pan wide open to rocks. Factory one on right with more coverage.

I was told all models. The one on the right they say collects trash and can start a fire.

You have to call A Jeep dealer and talk to service. They will need your VIN# and they will tell you if there is a recall on your Jeep

They are concerned about that tiny skid holding stuff that may catch on fire but they were never worried with the shovel pan under the TJ/LJs?  ::)

This.

Also been waiting for a recall on the Commander (with the rest of the Commander owners) that randomly shuts off on the interstate, but that isnt a problem.  WTF

Oh yea and in some very dangerous situations to loose p/s. The only problem it has. They say the driver hits the key with his knee.   </LMAO/>

Not even close, plus you can slap the key around all day and it doesnt cut off.
