I played with the S3 Sunday at the store and I thought it was a lot nicer and faster but you are limited on what you can do at the store playing on it.

yeah I have to go get my hands on both of them. Its hard to find honest reviews... it all seems to be the apple haters or apple lovers. Would love to hear from those who switched from an iphone to a galaxy and the other way around. The apple is an easy to use phone and we are familiar with it but I cant help but feel like it is always behind the other phones as far as tech specs

I totally agree and it just seems like the iPhone should be faster than it is.

Still loving it. I havent missed my Iphone at all. The S3 is very fast, and a lot more capable. One gripe though, still no flash player, but that is not something the Iphone would have fixed.

Not to mention I dont like the lack of freedom. I would never use any smart phone to the complete capacity 1 could but I do hate that I am limited to the apple store, and they can do what they want with my phone. Why would you delete the youtube app that was loaded on the phone but then allow them to be in the itunes store? Or google maps, why did they delete it just to release an apple maps that is almost exactly the same as google maps? The price for each phone is the same with upgrade and we are in hopes to score some holiday prices when it comes time. My iPhone is still working ok, battery life seems to be going and so is the ear speaker (or i am going deaf) and meg's iphone home button works on like every 5th click. She has had her's since the first day and I have had mine 2 years and its lived a hard 2 years with many hours in my garage, dusty trails, bottom of the dog's water bowl a time or 2 so i know the phones will last.

1 thing very important for me is battery life. My 9 hour day can quickly turn into a 12-13 hr day without warning. I have a backup battery but I dont always have it with me. Right now using my phone in the morning, sitting in my vest for 9 hours with wifi off and a little use now and then I am usually around 70% full when I get home. I have read several reports of the other smart phones having worse battery life and the 5 is supposed to have improved life over the 4.

Battery life on the S3 seems to be worse than the Iphone. However, I may be using it more  ;D

I can make it a full day, but it must be charged when I get home.

Battery life sucks on all smart phones. I remember my little flip phone would last for 4-5 days! Now I go for a day and it has around 40% left at the end. I was wanting to upgrade my phone but since I went to IOS 6, it sure feels like a new phone. Saved me some green backs!

Hey matt, few more questions:

iphone is easy to use. I have gave my mom my old 3g and she use to not even be able to text and now sends me pictures, pandora radio, all that. is the s3 as easy to use?

app store? a lot of apps? a lot of them free or paid?

I do have to add this, if you search for ways around issues on the iphone, you can do about anything without jailbreaking one. I made my own ringtones with itunes and have worked some software into it that supposedly would not work. Like I said, I could get an iphone 4 right now for free with a new contract but do not want anymore ties to anything so I upgraded IOS and have been happy.
I've grown tired of this.
