I've got to say this is like a whole different club from a few years

A few of us were talking about this one night this weekend...  Couldn't agree more, and I've only been around for a couple years.

This was a really great weekend. Thanks to everyone that helped organize it... And for the new folks that showed up, too!

is.. that good or bad.  i seemed to enjoy everyone, and it seemed everyone was very nice and helpful.  maybe they just felt sorry for me.?  ???

It's very good. We have a great group of people and everybody watch's out for each other. With that many Jeeps everything went smooth. The couple problems that came up everybody jumped in and took care of them.

This is what it's all about.......
You join, finally go on that first trail ride. You feel out of place.
Takes a while to meet everyone and build friendships at least out
on the trails. You get used to them and trust them.
 People and members come and go. Now it just seems weird for Jared,
Tony, me and some of the people that started together having all
the new members come along and try to get acquainted and remember
all them. It's NOT bad at all it's just different. Guess every couple of years
this is what happens.

Kevin, things have gotten much better for numerous reasons but you are right, people come and people go. You know the majority of our rides are the CORE guys but with the fest, you see everyone new and non CORE. I am glad everyone had a great time out there. I met some really great new members and hope those members got their feet wet and learned to push their rigs a little more than they thought was possible. As for the raffle and # of tickets, It is just like any other raffle, you buy more tickets, you win more prizes. Was I upset I did not win anything, maybe a lil for the tires  ;D but to have that $ go back into the club to help possibly pay for an event ride or a free catered meal meet and greet or something else to benefit the members is more than welcome! Hope nobody was really upset over the outcome, but that is the way it goes. I never win anything  :hlp

I had a great time this weekend meeting everyone and this club is exactly what I was looking for.  I will not be able to attend the November ride but December looks like a go.  Thanks again for all the great times this weekend.  

For the guys interested in the LED lights, i posted up the details in the members forum...I don't know where else it should have gone.

I agree about the money going for a future event. Like the
Helen and hot dogs the club put on with no cost to members.
As we also have learned you can raise a question and try to
have a sensible discussion on things. It just seemed in past
years more people won things and not quite as much this
time. That's why I ask should it be something to consider?
If everyone was fine with it then that's cool.
It is nice to have an open avenues of discussion.

This may not be the best spot to have this discussion, but reading both your sides on the raffle ticket sales I had a thought. To keep ticket sales high and prizes spread amongst members, what if there was a separate raffle bag for each of the items, if you really wanted to win one thing, you could load up that bag the same as if there was something you didn't want you would not pit tickets in that bag. There would be multiple drawings from a bag if there were multiple items that were the same. 

Once again, I'm not looking to change y'all... I'm just reading the thread while i get an oil change and had a thought. Either way, I'll be back and I'll buy tickets. 😊

Ok, well i feel bad for winning so much stuff.      i bought extra tickets cause i wanted to mainly support the club. as Danny said it was going to future events.    i even gave some of my stuff away.

i gave the 75$ away.. or my son did to .. i forget who ever he was sitting at the table with, i think it was the person who flopped/broke thier rig early?  anyway he gave it to the guys wife.. who ever it was
my son even flet like i got to much stuff..  i also gave the pistol target away sunday afternoon.  after talking with some folks and feeling like, well others would enjoy it more and. i got some nice stuff..

heck the friendships was worthing.. imo.   but the lights and the 50 posion spyder gift card as well as the other stuff was nice.  my son took a set of shirts and hats back to school., he was going to tell
everyone in TN that GA Trailriders know how to have fun.

anyway.  i think someone actually bought more than me, like 100 or more.  and they even started just telling them to re-pick.   like i said, i orginally bought them cause the money was going back to the club.
in the future, i will try and be more attune to this and stop it before it gets out of hand.,   ???

Wish I could have done that. I have to hard feelings toward
anyone. I heard a few comments that raised the questions so
that's the reason I brought it up. Seems like legitimate question.
