Post by: Mitchbacon12 on May 06, 2014, 03:26:14 PM
I've got a 1998 jeep cherokee Xj and I want to make the doors removable like a bunch of people have. I have no idea how to do it, where to start, or the right tools for it? is anyone close to buford, ga that would be willing to help? thanks so much!

Look on Cherokee forum. There is a write up by No_redplz or something like that on the late model hinges.

You guys...

Yes, the 1/4" door pins and and striker pins keeps the unibody together. Of you take them out, it will fold like a taco. In fact, we have a Facebook page about it. "I hate it when I take the doors off my XJ and the unibody folds in half".

Take them off. Doors suck!
