Ga Trail Riders Open Ride

Date : February 8th & 9th

Place : Morris Mountain Off Road Park

Itinerary:
Friday – Arrival & camping

Saturday – 9AM Drivers Meeting, Main Parking Lot - Ride all day - Lunch on trail - Camp Fire

Sunday – 9AM Ride for those that stay

Park Fees:
Standard daily rate - $20.00 per day per vehicle
Weekend rate - $30.00 per weekend per vehicle

There is currently no charge for passengers.

This is not just a a "cool" little thing to let you say stuff like "10-4" and "keep you back tires spinning and the beavers grinning" ;D It is needed for a safe ride for the entire group!

Post by: tcdawg on February 08, 2013, 02:25:30 PM: Conditions are "fair". It has stopped raining and it seems there won't be anymore coming. It is still overcast so nothing is drying yet.

The campsites near the pavilion are in high ground and not muddy. It is a grassy area. We plan to set up camp in this area. It's got a nice big fire ring.

Heading out to check out the trails. I'll post up again shortly.

We toured around the GBU side. Hit a few rocks and obstacles. Did middle rock line next to V Notch. The rocks are drying out but the dirt around them is still wet but not terrible. We are setting up camp now and then plan to go play on GBU.

We have not been to the mountain side, may let that dry out as much as possible and just hit that tomorrow.

So far it's been fun and worth the trip

Mark, Tony, blue Wes and white Wes are camping tonight.

Kevin busted a bead on his beadlocks. Turns out his tire installer shortcut red him and did not install them correctly. He was able to reseat the bead w Todd's air.

Oh well, I guess I'll just live through y'alls pictures. Without the paycheck, the lift wouldn't have been possible. Y'all have fun and take a lot of pictures!! I'm in on the next ride!
