Does anyone want to go to aop Saturday?
I'm wanting to take my son for a day off wheeling.
-
I'm tentative, but don't plan on me being there. I'll watch this thread to see if it's going to happen, and I may join in if so.

Still planning on going. It's suppose to rain Thursday, but partly cloudy Friday. Hopefully that will dry it out a good bit.

I'm likely out...busy week next week, so I need to do some stuff...

Ok thanks.
I'm more than likely going even if we go alone.

I did trail 23 alone once...once! Be careful, and make sure you have self recovery gear

I was greatly tempted to drive down & wheel with ya , @thetastelingers .
I ( finally)got the rear wrrnty replacement Revolution rear shafts I bent last Nov trip to aop installed but now that I see weather report I’ve considered the sliding I did on the KO2 tires up on that hill and am gonna hold until I have the better suited MTs (I’m about to pull the trigger on).
I am really jonesin to wheel ,but may just go to Woolys instead on Sat unless it’s crazy wet.
Wheel safe , man!
-
Well if you change your mind, let me know. //;D//
Never been to Woolys before. I'll have to make the trip sometime.
-
Yeah, I went to Wooly’s yesterday and there we’re a few sidexsides but it was simply too muddy from thawing out and raining. Until I get some MTs , I’m just gonna break more stuff so ...
I hope you had better wheeling results down at Adventure Offroad than I did further West from there !
Catch ya next time , maybe
-
Hoping to go to Wooly's soon.

Hoping to go to Wooly's soon.
You should.
It’s a great park owned by really cool family. Plus, it’s as easy or as challenging as you wish. Plus it’s beautiful out there.
I still think it might be worth the drive for some of the Georgia based GATR folks to visit ; it’s just a long drive from , like, Dalton or Union Co to Lynnville,Tn ...
yell at me when ya think you’re goin

You got any pics from woolys? Most of what I saw online looked like sloppy mud

Sure, @patman
Admittedly, i don't have tons of images because I am always alone out there, ( thus why i was so excited to get with GATR)
but, here is an album - https://imgur.com/a/lNIts - I threw together of images from Wooly's Off Road with several of them containing descriptions where needed.
And I had this video of me goin up the entrance driveway (bunny slope)...that terrain is most of what is found there but there are a dozen or so very challenging rock trails that even bouncers /buggy can struggle with there.
Typical Tn. granite, sandstone, flint and shale.
There is plenty of far heavier obstacles that the driveway, but that plus picts might give ya a little clearer idea that Wooly's is not just a mud hole for quads. If there is a spec of rain , the place does become a boggers delight that I steer clear of unless I am jonesin for trails so bad I will deal with the slop but that is rare.

I took this horrible commentaried video ( ha!) today for you ,@patman
and rest of group that hasn't been to this park .
It's just one of the trails that i thought I'd video when I was assessing-it today; just after getting out of my rig this thread question you asked popped-in-my-head . It was kinda hot plus as usual the mobile phone doesn't display just how steep it really is. It winded me ...

anyway, that's one of a dozen obstacles similar to it at the park, fwiw

I sure hope you //smoke//.
If not, start then stop. It can't hurt.
Seriously, good vigeo.

I stopped smoking cigs four years ago. I vape but walk about 2-3 miles each evening. I was really outta breath ; I had climbed up that , once at top recalled @patman asking about Wooly’s , ran back to jeep to grab phone then filmed, lol.
Plus, I’m about to turn 50. Let an old man gasp for air //:o//
(lol)

Looks fun! Thanks for video. I may have to go check it out one day, just to knock another park off the list
