I used this app last year in the Vermont Overland trip and we did not need a cell connection, it simply used the internal GPS on the iOS device to show you as a blue dot on the map. Worked great!Used in Moab, nice but wants a cellular connection.
What I read is that you have to download the map and app with a good connection but after that it runs on your phone GPS. Is that not the way it works?

Finally fixed my Moab issue (exh backpressure valve) plus exhaust up pipes and a ported compressor housing while I had the turbo out. First time it's been out and don't want to have to do it again anytime soon. I hope this gets my MPG back.

That's the worse part of it. It's a whole hill of boulders that come to that point. There are exits before that one spot that get into a pretty technical spot again to the right. Same trail Doug, Tony, Jay, Matt M, and me did if they remember that on late Saturday afternoon.

I'll have some beer (of course!), but I'm probably going to focus on Maker's Mark and soda. Tent camping and having to unload the bladder every two hours during sleep due to beer consumption, sucks.
