SRRS will be at Chocco on 3/28-29 for a race. I'll be there Saturday and possibly Friday too. You know you want to come out and watch...
Here is what Rock Bouncing is for those who dont know:
Fast forward through that kid talking.

I'll try and find the video of a flip from Chocco last year.

I'm going to try and make it out there. I went to Morris for RBD 2013 and they are awesome to watch.
-
I'll be there. It's $30 a person or $40 for the weekend. You can wheel the trails the race isn't on.
-
I'll hit you up if we go out there. Last time at Morris we watched the bouncers for a while the drove the park. It was an awesome time. Looking forward to this event.
-
Sounds good. I've got a buddy and his friends coming from SC and another one riding with me. The one coming from SC is bringing his baby Jeep on 31's so we'll be on the easy trails till I make him do Rubicon ;)
-
That looks badass.
-
We will be there Friday and Saturday. Would like to meet some of y'all.

I may be out now. We just penned a contract with a real estate agent to have our listing go live on 4/2. I have a months worth of prep work to squeeze into two weeks. //???//
-
Is there a certain time to show up that is better than others. I would probably go if we could get a great "seat".
-
All I know is that drivers meeting is at 9 and racing starts at 10. I don't even know where they will be racing so I don't know where I'm going to go.
-
right on. I'm probably in //cheers2//
-
Awesome!
-
Next Saturday!! Anyone else planning on coming out? One guy bailed on me so my passenger seat is open. Danny, are you brining the Jeep?
-
Good news- I'm going to this! What time is everyone headed out? I plan on wheeling to after a bit of spectating. Hopefully you guys are planning to as well.

Don't plan on wheeling. These parks get so packed your lucky to be able to drive back to the event hill. I went to one at Morris Mountain. Every obstacle had about 20 rigs in line waiting a turn. It more of a go hang out and watch others tear stuff up.

I wheeled quite a bit at Morris RBD 2013. Yeah it was crowded but not terribly bad.
-
I'm waiting to find out from my friends that are coming into town. I'm wanting to wheel a little, but he is only on 31's on his baby Jeep.
-
Gonna be a wet weekend.

Looks like rain through lunch and then starts to lighten up. How is Chocco in wet conditions?

How is Chocco in wet conditions?
chocco dries out as fast as any place we go

//LMAO// Not worth the gas to get there imo
-
It dries pretty quick once it quits raining. I'm still gonna be out there. Lots of steep wet rocks and sandy silt. Should make for a more interesting wet race
-
Looking better

Should be gone mid morning-noon ish. I broke my coax cable so I don't have a functional CB at the moment. Here is my number again if you want to hit me up 770-363-0721. Hardest thing I'll hit today is rubicon. Matt, I don't know if you can for between two tress on that trail and there isn't really a bypass...
-
Huge wreck at the end of the road construction in AL on 20. 18 wheeler smacked the hill on the right and slid down into a big ditch in the mud. Gonna be a hell of a recovery mission.

Any pictures?

Me and my buddy grabbed a couple. Didn't take many of the race because the race people take unlimited way better ones. Saw several flips and awesome carnage. As for me, I lost a sock.
They redid a lot of the park for this race in two spots. Awesome time out there, but muddy as hell. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/30/ja7e9umy.jpg)

Sock story...do tell
-
My good friend Andy and his buddies came from SC to watch the race. We were walking up from the parking lot after lunch to watch the second race on the other side of the hill and in the middle of the race course in this nasty peanut butter mud by boot slipped off and I stepped in the mud with my sock. I took my sock off and went barefoot in my boot the rest of the day and left my sock next to a tree.
-
It was super peanut butter mud. Watched some of the bouncing action then hopped in the Jeep and hit some trails. Pretty much did most of the moderates. After Golden Mountain they were a breeze. Left the reds alone because many were perched precariously and the mud made choosing a line unpredictable. The most nerve racking thing that happened was almost backing down a green trail and then almost sliding down the mountain.
-
We didn't do any wheeling :/ tried to watch people on boat ramp but this asshole broke a trailing arm on his RZR and decided to flip it over and fix it in the middle of the boat ramp slab...
-
I was up at the top of boatramp around that time. I don't know why people say its tough, I got to the top only to realize I forgot to put it in 4wd //;D// Seriously though, I came around on the upper short cut (or whatever they call it). The view was amazing.
-
You took the bypass lol that's why it was easy. You should have hit the slab and moved that jackass out of the way. RZR's were destroying the park.
-
No I was making a joke about going up boatramp in 2wd. It was a pretty cool park. Want to go back in the dry. To me not as many big rocks as Morris but makes up for it with the possibility of falling off the mountainside.
-
Chocco is a lot of loose rocks and steep climbs. Not the fav of the rock crawler but a fun place to ride.
Golden Mtn rurnt ya.
Sent off camber
-
I hope Golden didn't ruin me. I like a good trail with the best of them, but throw some big crap in my way. I'm sure chooco has some of that, but I didn't feel it was worth the risk going up the REALLY steep stuff in that peanut butter.
-
You'll like harlan and windrock

Will, your XJ made it into the back of some of the videos posted, at least it looked like yours.
15 seconds of fame!

I saw those haha. I'm in a couple of group pictures of the staging area too from where I parked.

Harlan ftw
