Well guys, since there was already a ride to Beasley a few weeks ago, we have decided to make our June 6-8 run at a new park called Mountainside ORV. Over the last few weeks I have spoken with a good bit of people who say THIS is the park for 2008. I have seen photos and video and it will be VERY FUN. It is not just for the big rock buggies and comp rigs, rather it is somewhere everyone will enjoy. Here are the details:

Waiver (MUST BE PRINTED/SIGNED TO ATTEND): http://www.mountainsideoffroadpark.com/waiver.htm
You must meet the following requirements in order to ride with GATR. No exceptions.
1. Functional Parking brake or Line Lock
2. Tow strap
3. Jack
4. Fire extinguisher (must be secured and easily accessible)
5. Seat belts/restraints for all passengers
6. CB with clear reception
7. Recovery hooks or D-rings front & rear
8. Battery hold-down

Web site says 8-6 on Saturday. That'll be 9AM GA time. See you there, if not before.
Has anyone let them know we're coming?

Yes, they know we are coming, but it doesn't matter because the park is wide open so anyone can come.

Great! :) I hope more guys will join. Just did Google directions and it's over 3 hours from the house, so I may come Friday night, or it will have to be very early Saturday.

Thanks. Getting more pissed about it the more I think about it today. I really hope you enjoy the wheeling. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. Think of me while I sit here with my thumb up my butt. (You don't have to think about that image though.)

Don't know yet. I need to see what time Chris is planning to go. I was thinking about 9:00, but I'm flexible.

We wont be leaving Friday until a couple folks get off work. Right now, the plan is to leave my house at 3pm and arrive at the hotel around 4:30 or so. The park wont be open on Friday, so I dont see any sense in leaving real early.

Not open Friday? Well that does make a difference. I would still like to beat the Friday Rush Hour getting out of here. Maybe some time between 1:00 and 2:00. What do you think Doug?

Since we can't wheel Friday I might as well work, and avoid the traffic all together and come early Sat AM, I'll gain an hour going over any way, so 9 is 10. Leave by 6:30.

Cool. I've got ants in my pants and I'm ready to shag town. I'll probably leave hear about 1:00 tomorrow. I'll just do some sight seeing until others roll in.

I am up in the air. Its this or tellico. I cant do both, so I am leaning towards tellico.

I would do Mountainside. Tellico is kinda boring now with Slickrock closed.

not like i can do slick rock anyways...plus I have only been there once on the night ride.
