Title: Clearance heights
Post by: Krawler00 on March 19, 2018, 09:56:40 AM
I've been wanting to do this for some time to see what kind of center clearance we all have on our rigs. Would like to see the difference in some rigs and compare tire sizes. Add make, skids, tire size, wheelbase. Measure lowest point on center skid.

Ben - TJ - 3.5" RE springs - Skyjacker bellyup skid - 37" tires - 95" wheelbase - 22" at lowest point on belly skid.

Wouldn't lift height be a nice thing to add to your list for comparison?

Some custom lifts would be hard to put an exact number though...

My $.02, you should also measure clearance under front and rear chunks (those get hung up more than the belly IMO).

Make it so then. Was more interested in center heights.

Lifts are like Kevin said. Not looking for an exact detailed list. Just clearance under belly really, regardless of lift size. But add it to the list!

Tire PSI needs to be noted here like mentioned... I just measured 22" but I see a bulge in the tires, so I'm at least partially aired down.  I'll check exact PSI and update.

LJ, 40" MTR/K, UCF bellyup, 108" wheelbase.  Custom suspension/lift.

Biggest difference is my 42’s vs your 32’s.

You make really good use out of them though.

Also. You did actually drag that rear chunk quite a bit.  But you are well aware.

Biggest difference is my 42’s vs your 32’s.

You make really good use out of them though.

Also. You did actually drag that rear chunk quite a bit.  But you are well aware.
Drug it on everything

pretty sure a couple folks here never left the gravel road
I honestly thought Pat was attacking Tony...and that attack would have been well justified, but now I see Pat made a mistake since Sam didn't even get close to the entrance to Crucible.

You have new tires JC, since this post.
Same rig but with 41.5” PBR.

Tire pressure still estimated as “has a bulge and I’d wheel it” and 22.5” to lowest spot on belly skid.

05+ D60 front: 12”
Sterling 10.5 rear: 11”

If you plan on ever leaving the top on with it in the trailer I'd add about 4"-5". My center factory top bow is much taller vs the windshield height.  I know you have a trek top just something to take into consideration.

i typed Iroks and my phone autocorrected to Treps.. lol. or did it. jk, thanks for catching that clerk.

@Jeepster1407 i dont know how to build cages so stuff will fit, so none of my soft top hardware is actually factory.. the tallest bow is about 2in lower than the WS frame, and my cage is almost 4in lower at the tallest point.

The trailer (my new home) took priority over stickies for now. Honestly tho, why do I need stickies when theres only one trail in the country you can do that I cant and so many are the other way around??
