Post by: virtie on December 30, 2015, 11:58:25 AM
Anybody been up there this week? --- I was thinking about goign tomorrow if i get the day off but all this rain will make it very muddy.  Anybody have interest in going? (light-medium off roading--- i have stock Discovery Sport)

It will be one hell of a sloppy mess with all this rain.

Do you have a winch...not the one in the passenger seat.

yes, and tell her to grab me a beer, but I was anticipating the comeback.

This seems like a bad idea to me...just wait a week and go with a full crew.

Let it dry out, wet is not good with this activity.

I was up there this past weekend and I don't see why anyone would have a problem at this place if you have four wheel drive. I've got a Chevy Colorado and had no problems anywhere so I'd hope a jeep wouldn't. Didn't see a reason for a wench unless you get off the trails in the mud.

There isn't suppose to be any trails off that road but regardless the problem with this much rain is it uproots trees. I'm not arguing you need to have a winch but there is a possibility you get half way through and have to turn around because you don't have one.

We're just saying it might not be a good ideal to go
by himself in that new Land Rover after all the rain.

That Landover held it own on dicks creek and wildcat road today. Very impressed for a stock discovery.
