I will going out to durhamtown tomorrow with a buddy to check it out. I have not been there and school has just started to slow down enough for me to actually get out and do something. If you guys want to join you are more than welcome.

I was thinking of going up to golden mtn.

I was going to see about getting a kitchen day pass for Beasley. Golden Mountain looks fun but too far for a day trip.

How about mountain side? I would be happy to ride down to map and meet up with some of you folks.

I am bummed about Beasley being closed. Beasley and Durhamtown are about the only places that are doable in a day trip for me.

Morris Mountain would make a good day trip. I can do Mountainside too, but it's a bit further for us.

I just talked to Trey at Choccoloco Mountain. He said the park doesn't have any trail damage and is open. The closest tornado was about 5 miles away, but it did kill some folks.
I also talked to Larry and we have decided to meet at the park at 10 AM EST tomorrow morning. That's 9:00 their time.
Price is $20 for driver and $5 for passengers. Here's the website with more info:

We had a great time. Larry and I were the only ones that could make it early, but we found some folks to ride with. Glen and his crew showed up later on, but Larry had to leave. I rode a few more hours with Glen and crew and loaded up to come back.

Blues worked fine. I, again, need more seat time to learn the JK ::)...the security of beadlocks helps. Mark, the Hydro kicks ass {toast}. Ultimately, I have a broken ring and pinion gear {boohoo}. I am glad Livingston was there to trailer me back. I will post pics today.

if the top is up, its not that bad...Top off, turn up the radio loud!! As for road manners, they ride pretty smooth even at 70+ MPH.... {toast}

I'm knocking on wood as I type, for your info I have only broken 1 Axle in my RIG, I seem to break other stupid stuff and pinion yokes. Yes I know the fix for the pinion yokes, just don't want to re-do that part of a build several times. {nln} {nln} {nln}

Well played!! I did ask Currie about the Dana 70. What they did is produce a "plastic" housing and unveiled it at one of their shows. The guy on the phone did say it might have been a mistake. I guess by showing this future item it started a buzz and want that Currie can't fulfill at this time. I did tell the guy I wanted to buy one or be on a "list" for the D70. He said that the earliest would be spring of 2012! WTF?! I still have a few months to decide...Thanks for the help. {toast}

That doesn't really help my opinion of Currie much considering I already thought the rock jocks were over priced for what you actually get. :bs)

I was kind of shocked with his response. I actually worked out a payment plan with them if I decide to go forward with Currie. Either way its a bunch of coin to drop. The JK is starting to be more like my Mac laptop...proprietary in needs and expensive!
