Matt and I are planning the night ride.. which is probably gonna be it.  Which wheeling burns gas, hence there goes more money.   ;D  Speaking of which, record on total gas price today, I spent $56 on gas today....... awesome.  >:(

Just finished up a few loose ends.

I mounted my own full size spare last night, (Thanks Daniel) - PAIN IN THE ASS!
Removed the third brake light.
Washed the Jeep & cooler.
Gathered up some tools and spare parts.
Added a GATR banner to the windshield.

Oh yeah, I can't wait to see those monster rocks at night! Gonna be like mars out there. Lets hope theres no traffic! Chris, you got a set of rock lights on the XJ... where did you mount them? No frame on that thing.

It took me 4 hours to install them, but I ran all the wiring in loom inside the unibody frame rails and tucked th esmall lights up near the rails.  Rocks wont get them because they dont hang as low as the unibody frame rails.  VERY clean install.

Everything has a bypass.  Not to mention, if you are only on stock D30/D35, front locker and 33's, I wouldn't attempt the main lines at Guardrail or Heli anyhow, especially at night.  IMO, unless you are a HELLUVADRIVER, you need 2 lockers, shafts and a minimum of 35's to even attempt to do either.  It was heck trying to get the TJ up Helipad with my TJ on 35's.  Of course, it was somewhat damp and that makes all the difference in the world.

I'll give em a whack in June would I should have my 8.8, flat skid, and winch done. For tomorrow night in the dark, with raging thunderstorms..... bypass. I have no problem with that. If I could have bypassed Slickrock in December I would have. She's just not built enough yet.

Well if that's the kinda crap goin' down this ride, I might just have to sit myself on the sidelines.  I'm all about not breaking something on big stupid rocks.

Daniel, you've been to Tellico.  You know whats there.  Nobody is gonna lead you to something you HAVE to struggle to go over and end up breaking your rig.  I'm offended that you haven't learned by now that we watch out for you and anyone else.

Again, EVERY obstacle has a bypass.  If it didn't, we wouldn't lead you up it.

Yes, everything does have a bypass. I can be done in an underated rig as well. We all will look at for each other for sure!

I've learned you bunch of douches!  Besides, I'm not going to do anything that has a very high risk of breakage.

I really wanna smite you for this  >:(

Well do what you gotta do.  I'll still sleep fine at night.

I installed rock lights and added a GATR banner.

What is the best rock light to use, and the cost each?  Is it best to mount 1 near each wheel?

Just use a cheap driving light from an autozone or walmart. Nothing fancy as you run the risk of it tearing up. I just used a fog light on mine. Worked awesome saturday night. I mounted it on the frame center of the door.

i just put mine in yesterday  ;D
one on either side center of the door, one in back behind gas tank, and one above front axle

is it legal driving with the lights turned on,  on the roads? i see some lifted pick-ups do that but i want to be sure.
